MARBELLA VINEYARDS HOMEOWNER ~ GENERAL INFORMATION

There have been several inquiries about the Sisso Trees that were removed from the lake. This was necessary because the trees were planted too close to the water and the root system was starting to be a concern to the lake lining, the waterfall, and the sidewalk. If the root system were to have penetrated the lining of the lake this could have caused severe damage to the lake, and we would have had to drain the lake and done repairs to any cracks or separation it could have caused. This would have been thousands of dollars to do this, so the Board made the decision to remove the trees, treat and kill the trunks and root system. It takes a good two months to make sure the trunks and root system have died out.

Once that has been confirmed, in the Spring or as the temperature stays warmer, they will be replacing plants and trees around the lake.

We hope this helps explain why the trees had to be taken out.

Happy Holidays to all you and your Family
